Welcome!

Hello! Thank you for being a part of "Tales of a Modern Mommy". My name is Iris. I am a 30 year old stay at home Mommy of two little girls. My oldest Brooke is 4 and my "baby" Savannah is 2. Brooke is starting Pre-School in about a week and a half, and I am beyond NOT ready for it!! I am ridiculously excited to be able to spend some one on one quality time with Savannah finally, (It is so much harder with the second one to have that kind of time than with the first) however, I am so sad that my little buddy is growing up so fast already. But, I am making do. Being active in her school, and reassuring her that she is going to have so much fun!
My boyfriend, TJ and I have been together for 5 years, and as a matter of fact, as I am writing this, I am remembering that it is our 5 year anniversary tomorrow. We currently live in Sacramento, CA. and TJ, the girls and I enjoy all things food. TJ is attending Culinary School at the moment and I am a full time student working on my Business Degree. One day, I want to have my own Restaurant and he wants a Bakery.
I love the fact that I am able to get my education online so that I am able to be home with my kids. They are little for such a brief period of time, for me, it is the most important thing in my life right now to be home with them. Having children has definitely changed my life and myself. I feel as though I have finally become the me that I was always supposed to be. When you finally become that person, anything is possible.
I am so happy to have you as a part of this new adventure with me, "Tales of a Modern Mommy", which I am sure will take on a life of its own. This blog will share with you my adventures and experiences, as a "Modern Mommy", and those of my family. We are so happy to have you along for the ride with us. Please, share your stories, your thoughts, and your experiences as well.

Talk with you soon!
